Today the Lambardi company has 7 hectares of vineyards almost entirely registered with Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, a new cellar and produces 12,000 bottles divided between the different references. Lambardi in 1967 together with a small group of producers decided to protect their wine and founded the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino.

The Terroir

The vines arise mainly in the municipality of Montalcino (Canalicchio di Sotto locality). The company covers an area of 24 hectares of which 7 are vineyards. The vine grown is Sangiovese from which Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG are produced. The vineyards of the company, made up of 4 plots with an average age of 25 years, are exposed to the north-east with an altitude of about 300 m. s.l.m. The soils have a strong clayey component very rich in nutrients planted with a low density of vines per hectare and they are raised in bilateral cordon.

The Product

Currently, the Lambardi winery has a total area of approximately hectares. The entire line is dedicated to traditional wines. Maurizio Lambardi, owner of the winery, personally takes care of his wine from harvest to bottling, carrying out all the work in the vineyard and in the cellar. His competence lies in already focusing on the vineyard and on the land, enhancing and enhancing its oenological heritage: It is there, among the vineyards, that a wine takes shape that wants to be a faithful and respectful expression of its territory of origin.
